The war on noise at the Clinique Saint Vincent in Besançon

Noise is omnipresent in the outpatient department: cell phones ringing, telephone conversations, instructions exchanged in the corridor, equipment noise, etc. At the Clinique Saint Vincent in Besançon, the outpatient surgery unit team took an interest in the issue and organized an audit to assess the impact of noise on staff and patients. "Following a study, we installed a food shredder right next to the dishwashing bins. The food waste generated by the production of 100 meals a day for staff and patients is discharged, crushed and transported with the wastewater to the wastewater treatment plant. This system has won unanimous approval among catering staff: less handling, less transport, less household waste.
