Public action around a child's first 1,000 days continues

Interministerial Instruction No. SGMCAS/2023/110 of July 18, 2023 on the implementation, by 2023, of the policy on a child's first 1,000 days.

Who's concerned?

Establishments, networks and structures for coordinated practice (including perinatal health networks, territorial professional health communities [CPTS]), establishments and professionals for the care of young children (including collective crèches and early childhood relays), establishments, services and networks to support parenthood and listening networks, home help and support services [SAAD] for families, establishments and services in the disability sector, including coordination and orientation platforms (PCO).

Summary

Public action around a child's first 1,000 days is now a priority government policy (PPG). A multi-year roadmap for 2024-2027 is currently being prepared. In the meantime, the interministerial instruction of July 2023 calls on stakeholders to continue the actions in place since 2021/2022. It also specifies the financial resources available and the implementation procedures.
