L’hôpital privé des Côtes d’Armor (22), inauguré en 2016, est champion de la performance énergétique. Ce complexe high-tech de 27 600 m², comptant 300 lits et 15 blocs opératoires, est labellisé Bâtiment basse consommation (BBC 2005), c’est-à-dire que son besoin en énergie est inférieur à 50 % de la consommation conventionnelle de référence de la RT 2005.
Art à Navarre
Depuis 2015, la Polyclinique de Navarre (64) et la Minoterie Nayart (64), centre d’art contemporain, s’associent pour rendre l’art contemporain accessible à tous. Tous les six mois, la Polyclinique propose de nouvelles expositions par le biais de l’artothèque de la Minoterie, auprès de laquelle elle loue des œuvres choisies par les salariés. Jusqu’à fin 2017, le personnel de santé, les patients et les visiteurs pourront découvrir l’univers contemporain de trois artistes : un sculpteur sur bronze et deux peintres.

Les projets sélectionnés par Eco-mobilier, d’une durée maximum de 36 mois, bénéficieront d’une prise en charge financière pouvant aller jusqu’à 75 % des dépenses imputables aux projets.

Clef du bonheur pour certains, outil d’optimisation des performances pour d’autres… À l’hôpital Bicêtre (94) de l’Assistance Publique Hôpitaux de Paris, loin de ces clichés, c’est dans une salle de préparation à l’accouchement, sur de simples chaises, que les personnels – soignants, secrétaires, etc. – peuvent tous les 15 jours découvrir et pratiquer la méditation laïque.

Ces précieux métaux
Cuivre, platine, inox, etc., les métaux sont précieux et la valorisation des dispositifs médicaux à usage unique commence à se généraliser en France, grâce à des hôpitaux pionniers qui donnent l’exemple et des prestataires qui ont compris l’importance de ce marché. À la Clinique du Tonkin à Villeurbanne un contrat a été signé mi-mars 2017 avec une entreprise pour la collecte des quelques 120 sondes de stimulation cardiaque utilisées chaque mois, en vue du recyclage du platine.
L’AP-HP montre l’exemple en termes d’efficacité énergétique
Le premier employeur de la région parisienne montre l’exemple en termes d’efficacité énergétique. Dans le cadre de la Semaine européenne de l’énergie durable, l’AP-HP a organisé une journée dédiée, le 23 juin dernier, deux ans après l’adoption du volet « développement durable » de son plan stratégique 2015. Dans le cadre de ce dernier, elle s’est fixée pour objectif de faire baisser de 20 % ses dépenses annuelles en énergie.

A therapeutic garden structured around the five senses
The Maison de santé Marie-Galène, in the heart of Bordeaux, has just inaugurated its therapeutic garden, the culmination of a four-year project initiated by three caregivers keen to use the garden as a care tool. An initiatory pathway, structured around the five senses, enables people suffering from progressive illnesses, losing their autonomy, or at the end of their lives to reinvest in their bodies, and (re)discover their sensations.
Polyclinique de Blois inaugurates its recycling center
The idea began with a simple observation: a certain amount of clean waste not taken back by suppliers can be useful to staff, such as eutectic plates, pallets, plastic crates, paper used for sterilization, sterile water cans, etc. During European Sustainable Development Week 2017, the Blois polyclinic (41) inaugurated its recycling center, a dedicated area staffed monthly by employees.
Recycling is fundamental
Starting with the basics when embarking on a sustainable development approach is essential. Clinique Fonvert has done just that, working hard since 2013, with training to back it up, to develop 12 sorting channels, most of which are now traced. While some waste goes through the so-called 'classic' channels, others, such as office waste, confidential documents and scrap metal furniture, are entrusted to local players.
Concern for doing things right
The Polyclinique de Blois, the only private healthcare establishment in France to have been awarded AFAQ 26 000 for its CSR program and which has just celebrated its tenth anniversary, is not resting on its laurels. "After ten years, we had a certain amount of equipment to replace," explains Carine Raffin-Peyloz, deputy director in charge of sustainable development. True to its values and methods, purchases were carefully evaluated in consultation with the teams.
Planting for better healing
The Clinique de Montberon is a psychiatric clinic with a long-standing commitment to CSR, and is one of only a handful of healthcare establishments to generate electricity. The clinic takes care not only of its patients, but also of its employees. Benefiting from an exceptional setting north-east of Toulouse, patients, often on medium-term stays, can take their minds off their illnesses by indulging in botanical activities in the clinic's therapeutic greenhouse.
Supervaltech clinic's garbage problem
The Supervaltech clinic has identified local service providers, both for recycling paper, batteries and WEEE through a social enterprise, and for compacting cardboard and reselling it in bales. Above all, the clinic has reduced its hazardous waste by 25%.

At Clinique Victor Hugo in Paris, the 'young' sustainable development committee, set up at the end of 2016 and headed by two nurses, chose to raise staff awareness of energy costs through a fun, educational initiative involving an online quiz.
Recyclable compounds from medical devices: ideas for action
At CHU de Rennes (35), the DM recycling initiative involves sorting and recycling metal waste from operating theatres, such as the copper contained in electric scalpels and the stainless steel contained in laryngoscope blades. This initiative helps to finance the purchase of soft toys for hospitalized children, to make their time in the operating room less dramatic. The metals are recycled by a local company for the benefit of the association "Les P'tits Doudous du CHU de Rennes".
Why it's so important to sort bio-waste
Sorting biowaste at source is the only way to guarantee quality sorting and divert biowaste from landfill or incineration. Biowaste is non-hazardous waste, but landfilling it emits methane, a powerful greenhouse gas, into the atmosphere. Organic recovery, on the other hand, treats biowaste in a sustainable way, returning the compost from composting or the digestate from methanization to the soil.
