Certification and eco-responsibility: the exemplary approach of the Victor Pauchet clinic

The Clinique Victor Pauchet has held the IHAB label since 2019 and has just received the congratulations of the jury on the occasion of the renewal of its label by IHAB France. Its eco-responsible maternity unit has been awarded the THQSE silver label.

" Our certification process wasn't starting from scratch, as we had already integrated a solid CSR culture," Stéphan de Butler, Chairman of Groupe Pauchet Santé, points out from the outset. " We had also renovated the neonatal unit with the teams and architects to create an eco-responsible environment ".

The facility responded to anARS call for projects, aimed at private maternity hospitals in the Hauts de France region, to commit to an eco-responsible approach. Thanks to ARS funding, the facility was able to receive support for over a year.

" This support enabled us to discover the reference system, and to work on complementary elements that we hadn't implemented before. We understood that it wasn't enough just to set up processes, we had to frame them, integrate them into a methodology that would enable us to affirm them, make them more solid and go further. "

The initiatives implemented are many and varied, ranging from waste sorting to the use of Ecocert products for cleaning the premises. The facility has also introduced new practices such as the use of electrolysis cleaners and microfibers for floors. Care departments have "eco-designed " C-section dressings and other care products. The Group has implemented an eco-responsible purchasing policy, requiring CSR commitments from its suppliers.

"It was the employees who came to management and said they were ready and wanted us to support them. We set up a self-supporting working group which defined priorities for action and steering. What's interesting is that it really came from the grassroots, with staff keen to move towards this CSR culture."

Awareness-raising campaigns on air quality and the prevention of electromagnetic fields have been carried out for patients and staff alike. Off-site, awareness-raising workshops are organized in schools and companies on subjects such as breast cancer and endometriosis.

With the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD ) approaching in 2026, the Group is preparing to certify its environmental impact. The THQSE© approach will contribute to the production of CSRD reports aligned with its eco-responsible values.
