Summary

Criterion 3.6 - 04 "Environmental risks and sustainable development issues are managed" remains a standard criterion.

The valuation elements are now as follows:

Governance

  • The facility has carried out an initial diagnosis of its water and energy consumption, greenhouse gas emissions and waste production.
  • The company's sustainable development policy is shared with local stakeholders.
  • The plant has appointed a sustainable development referent.
  • The plant has drawn up a strategy for adapting its operations and an action plan to address the environmental risks to which it is exposed.
  • The establishment implements awareness-raising initiatives on environmental protection and sustainable development for professionals and patients.
  • For each type of waste, we have set up a waste stream and follow the traceability procedure.
  • The facility facilitates waste sorting for professionals (easy-to-access sorting garbage cans for different types of waste, and posters explaining sorting rules).

Observation

  • The infectious risk waste (IRW) circuit complies with sorting and hygiene rules.

Note: the criterion will be revised in 2024, to come into force on January1, 2025.
