For Clinique du Pré in Le Mans, Sustainable Development Week is a key component of its CSR approach. On the program: eco-mobility in all its forms, with a looped slide show on eco-driving and an information stand on electric vehicles; the opportunity for teams to get behind the wheel of the clinic's two electric vehicles, and a demonstration of electrically-assisted bicycle models on a test track set up outside in the parking lot; a presentation of the clinic's 22 sorting facilities and the fate of waste; and a special employee game on sorting DASRI.
Workplace well-being: full steam ahead!
Five years ago, Clinique de l'Anjou brought its occupational health department in-house and made quality of working life a priority. Driven by a steering committee comprising the CEO, the occupational physician and psychologist, and the directors of care, quality and human resources, the approach initially targeted management teams, who were all audited and trained on the theme of "health in the workplace: when management is not the problem, but the solution".
A Sustainable Clinic
Toulouse's Clinique Pasteur was awarded the "Clinique Durable" prize at the 2016 FHP Trophées for its CSR corporate project "Une clinique citoyenne responsable". This prize crowns the maturity of the projects undertaken for years by the establishment's management and teams, pioneering work in the environmental, societal, social and economic fields.
L’enregistrement EMAS revalidé pour 3 ans à la Clinique Cambrai
L’enregistrement EMAS renouvelé fin 2016 à la Clinique Cambrai est la reconnaissance du travail accompli sans relâche depuis huit ans et de la ténacité des équipes. « Au fil de l’eau, année après année, bilan carbone aprés bilan carbone, nous avons mis en place des indicateurs qui nous ont permis de définir des objectifs et axes d’amélioration. Nous avons des objectifs à moyen et long termes. Nous souhaitons améliorer nos performances d’une année sur l’autre, en revanche, pour ce qui est de la réduction de notre empreinte carbone, qui est une priorité pour nous, c‘est forcément un travail à long terme » déclare Fabien Leloir, gestionnaire des risques et qualiticien, en charge des questions de développement durable.
EMAS, Clinique Saint-Roch de Cambrai and CH de Valenciennes in the running
Attesting to its long-term commitment, Clinique Saint-Roch (59) has just renewed its EMAS registration for three years, and CH de Valenciennes has held the invaluable European registration since early 2017. The Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS) is a voluntary program for the continuous improvement of environmental performance. Currently in France, only around ten healthcare and elderly care establishments are EMAS-registered.
QWL at Thuir Hospital
Quality of life at work (QWL) cannot be decreed; it requires changes in practices and a change in mentality. As early as 2012, Thuir hospital developed a QWL approach with selected areas of focus: prevention of psycho-social risks, maintaining employment for people with disabilities, and professional equality between men and women.
Le Mans hospital helps people in precarious situations
In 2013, Le Mans Hospital's catering department introduced a food donation policy. This initiative is part of the national pact to combat food waste, and has enabled us to open a social restaurant in Le Mans for people in extremely precarious situations.

Les facteurs humains dans la gestion des risques
L’Institut pour une culture de sécurité industrielle (Icsi) est une association créée dans le but d’échanger et de progresser sur les questions de culture de sécurité, en intégrant trois dimensions : la technique, le système de management de la sécurité et les facteurs humains et organisationnels. Aujourd’hui, dans le milieu médical comme dans l’industrie, la reconnaissance de l’importance des facteurs humains et organisationnels (les compétences, l’état de santé des individus, la qualité des collectifs, la situation au travail, le rôle des managers…) est nécessaire pour améliorer les performances en sécurité.
An eco-responsible carpooling platform
The Rose association, known for its publications Rose et Blu, magazines created for patients with breast and male cancers, is launching a car-sharing platform for patients and their loved ones. RoseCar invites patients and users living nearby and visiting the same facility to arrange a meeting and take a short trip together.
Survey: the safety culture among caregivers remains underdeveloped and heterogeneous
An inter-regional campaign to measure the culture of care safety, launched by the Fédération des organismes régionaux et territoriaux pour l'amélioration des pratiques et organisations en santé (Forap), shows that the culture of caregiver safety, an essential prerequisite for improving care safety, is still weak in healthcare establishments.

The art of eco-wisdom
Four young people on a civic service contract have just completed their mission at the Résidence Marie Romier in La Talaudière (42). For six months, two days a week, they went out to meet residents and set up concrete actions around sustainable development: better sorting of food waste using posters and labels, which eco-gestures and commitments are best suited to the elderly, thinking about the concept of intergenerational relations, etc.
